BEHIND THE DESIGN AND FIT OUT
With 360-degree views across the Gold Coast, from the picturesque beaches to the lush hinterlands, Skypoint, previously Cafe Seventy-Seven, located on level 77 of the Q1 building, features a mix of solid timbers and a crisp neutral palette accented by colours of the ocean in statement furniture pieces.
Our scope included working with the client’s designer to create the overall design changes to the existing venue. This included new flooring throughout, refurbishing selected existing furniture, refacing the bar area and supplying new buffet stations, chairs and tabletops.
The tabletops were handcrafted with a blend of light and dark timbers, these were custom made and supplied by Table Top Innovations to match materials used in the buffet stations. A selection of tables were designed in the shape of surfboards to really tie in the panoramic beach views and Gold Coast vibe.
Skypoint was refurbished in stages, this allowed for continuing trade during the fit out process. The final result is a bright, comfortable space that caters for all patrons throughout the day, whether it's breakfast with views to die for, or a casual drink with friends watching the sunset and the glowing lights of the city coming alive.
